Which type do I need?
Capacity & seating
Model-dependent extensions typically add +1 to +8 rounds and give a larger surface to seat on a closed slide. For larger gains, a stronger or longer spring is often recommended.
Materials

Aluminum: light, rigid, many colors; balanced for range and EDC.

Polymer: light, tough, discreet; least added weight.

Brass: heaviest; helps mags drop free and steadies the gun in competition.
